1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Actually you should be able to find 686 in that price range. You may have to be satisfied wih 28" barrels though. Have you checked on Gunbroker ?

Ahem....a 686 is no 682.....the man said a 682....the only 682s he can find for $1200-$1400 are the OLD STYLE CHROMED RECEIVER 682s....typically, a skeet gun with fixed skeet chokes....

And please, refrain from the 686 is the same as a 682 bu$% chit!

What is the difference between the 686 & 682 other than chokes and adjustable comb?

    Tommy,

I have a 682X combo set with a 32" top single and 28" O/U. The gun is mechanically good and on the second step locking bolt. The stock was cut down at some point and then relenghtened with spacers - probably was a young person's gun. This isn't a real flashy high polish gun but it has a lot of shooting left in it.

If you want it I can let you try it out at the Fallon Trap Club. My price will be $1,500. If the stock doesn't work for you, there is another guy on here that is selling a neutral cast 682 stock (new) for $250.

I also have a 3200 Remington but that has 26" barrels which probably wouldn't be what you are after.

    Stickdp,

    Only 15 years....you are yung'un.......

In popular culture, they were known as "chrome receivers"....in reality, they were the heavier walled-silver (color) steel receivers.....circa 90's.......

P.S. Of course, you could hard chrome a receiver if you want to....
