1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Looking to buy an AR-15 style gun in .223. Would like to spend approx. $1,000, including shipping to my FFL. What have you got? Private email preferred. Pictures essential.

Do you want it chambered for .223 remington or 5.56. There are slight differences in O.A. cartridge length chamber/throat lengths and chamber preasurse

capvan----Go to the for sale section. There are at least 2 for sale in the same thread. I'm not sure what the name of the post was but it had something to the effect of AR in the heading.----Matt

My understanding is that all 5.56 chambers will handle .223, but the reverse isn't necessarily true...So, I guess I want 5.56...

I'm not aware that any AR's are made in .223 but 5.56 which in turn will safely handle the .223. There are numerous bolt action rifles made in the .223 calibre. It has been advised not to shoot military 5.56 new cartridges in the .223 guns due to the pressure. Since the AR's are 5.56, these will handle your military rounds safely. Darrell
