1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

I am looking to buy an AR-15 and just kinda throwing feelers out there. I will Pay cash for a stag arms 6L. i'm left handed and think it would be nice to get into something simular. I will entertain offers but am rather picky. Looking for a flat top model with a bull barrel around 20" or greater.

If nothing comes up, i will be ordering a 6L Shortly but thought i'd see if anybody had something sitting in the safe around these parts...

I think you will have to buy new. rock river also makes a (true) left hander.

Being a southpaw myself I understand your pain, but I would suggest you go with a standard rifle.

We represent roughly 20% of the population, but there is a perceived devaluation on left handed arms (never could understand why), so unless you have kids who are also southpaws you might think of future value (or loss there of) for your investment.

    Food for thought...

Thats a pretty fair price too mike for an 8L, especially in todays market. I'm still going to keep looking for a flat top model with a 20-24" barrel.

HSLDS, i couldn't agree more with you on the loosing value, normally i wouldn't ever go to a left handed gun for myself. But, i'm sick and tired of everything out there being right handed. I'm sure you can share my frusteration, plus i can hear everybody complain ( and for no reason at all in an ar 15 style rifle, like i havent shot a right hand gun my whole life) about the brass, gas blowback etc etc....

    Trevor,

To put your mind at ease look at an old Colt revolver.

Sam Colt was a southpaw and the loading gate is to the benefit of us, not the northpaw.

Nice to know we got one in...

To really make you smile, if you look at ALL early writing, they went from right to left (Cuneiform, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, Arabic).

Remember that southpaw's have an IQ something like 20 ~ 25% higher than a like right hander - it would suggest that writing was invented by southpaws... ;-)

I used to own a STAG 6L with the 24" bull barrel. I have to highly recommend this gun for its accuracy. I wish I had not sold it.

I shoot rifle sparingly and by no means would consider myself an expert with a rifle. However, I shot an eight shot group with 60g V-max Hornady FACTORY ammo off of sandbags and a bench at 100 yards that could be covered by a dime. This may not be that impressive unless I tell you that the eight shots were taken in about 20 seconds. (I have a witness! haha)

I would keep looking for a 6L if I were you. I can't imagine what this rifle would have done with hand loaded ammo!
    Good luck finding one!

Poor pictures black on black but is this something like you are looking for?
Ironstone stock fully adjustable, up, down, left, right, weight.
Oversized bolt handle, ergonomic grip, 24" barrel, oversized mag. release,

The one set up on the table was sold more than a yr. ago. The palmrest grip was comfortable. I shoot shotgun and rifle left handed due to eye dominance.

The DPMS is a very similar gun but does not have the palmrest. I can post a pic. of it out of the box if you would like one. The Ironstone stock is really nice for adjustability but if you do not remove the weights it is heavy. I have 2 standard AR15 stocks and can put one on. I plan to keep the Ironstone stock. Bulge.
