After an evaluation of the past two years of the Grand American,
it was decided this morning that there will be a new traffic policy during the
2008 Grand American at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, IL.

All campers and motor homes are asked to continue their entrance procedures by
travelling around the complex and entering at the South Entrance near the
check in point as they have in the past (just follow the signs).

All Other traffic will be two way on County Road 18. You may enter and exit
the compex at any gate on the property, day or night.

We hope that these changes will serve to alleviate the congestion at some of
the gates on site. We are looking forward to seeing you all here.

I understand that fishing will be allowed this year. Can you tell us what kind of fish are in those ponds and what licenses will be required

ED Y, The Bass in the East Lake are whales. You are only allowed one and it must be 18". But if it isn't 6# throw it back. I have seen 10# Bass and 2 # Blue Gills thrown back. That use to be Private for Peabody Exec's only for 30 years. Same with the east west lake. You will need a boat. Three feet off the shore and you are in 6' of water.
    See you.

You can buy a temp IL license on the grounds at the IDNR office and they are very reasonably prices. In addition to the kinds of fish already mentioned, the lake just south of the events building also have been stocked with trout.
