Looking for info on Wright Choke Tubes. I just bought a used BT-99 MAX Stainless that came with two Wright choke tubes, Modified and Improved Mod. I'd appreciate opinion/views of shooters who have used Wright cokes. Right now I'm using Browning and Briley chokes but I'm not opposed to trying other chokes.

    Thanks

I second that opinion, I use them in a K-80 and DT-10, they are very good quality.

They also do great Super X1 and Model 12 work too. Really like their choke tubes.

Excellent chokes and I would still be using them if my Hastings barrel was compatible.

    W. Dan:

Wright's tubes are a product of Stu Wright in Pinckneyville, IL. Stu is one of the good guys.

So, guys, how much did Wright chokes improve your pattern percentage. Some just like shiny objects.

Jerry, I am not a technocrat who counts pellets and figures percentages. I leave that to the guys with time on their hands. I shoot at paper and look at the patterns. I don't want a scalding hot core and a fringe with holes in it - I'm not a good enough shooter to put the center of my pattern on every target. I rely on the outer ring of the pattern to break a lot of my targets and I much prefer a pattern that is fairly even throughout. That's Stu Wright's philosophy and why I use his chokes in every shotgun I own except my 1100 that has a Hastings high-rib barrel on it (and that's only because Stu doesn't make chokes for Hastings barrels).

Spend some time on the phone with Stu Wright and you'll know you're speaking with someone who knows his business. No attitude - just sensible, honest advice.

Great chokes! AveragEd is correct about how they perform; simply a great uniform pattern.
