In the spirit of the New Zealand gun commie thread, this article describes another country that does things differently from us.

Why is this bad? Obama wants to take us there, so we might as well brush up on our arguments.

Yep,,,,hussein is doing a great job of emulating Europe

This paragraph holds a little hope for us, "Not least, there might well be a new government in place by the end of September. The conservative opposition, ener-gised by its new leader, Ed-mund Stoiber, has already moved five points ahead of the Social Democrats in the polls. And the worst economic news looks likely to be ahead."

We have a friend who lives there ,they are small don,t allow imagration issue, We have a much more complex social issue. If we would round up the illegals evan a portion there would be a lot of job for US born , This was done here after wars before so service men coming home could have a job.

Until reading this, I didn't know German companies were required to hold jobs open for 3 years for women who had kids.

Did I get that right? The woman in this story has been out of work 6 years - but they have to hold her position for her? Wow, I bet she'll be real "effective" on the job when she returns to resume her "entitlement.

This article explains a lot about why good jobs are so hard to find over there. Companies can't afford to create many of them. You might get half a year of work out of each person you hire. No wonder their young college graduates have to move away to get their careers off the ground - or else work at Starbucks and live with Mom & Dad until age 35.

    Very interesting.
