I ordered an 11-87 forearm from boyds and they said you may have to do some cutting to get it to fit. Well it's way to thick, It won't even go on the gun, It looks like the main channel needs to be reduced by at least 2" What would you use to cut wood out of the main channel? Thanks

You can carefully use a dremel or wood chisels to rought it out, but eventually you will need an inletting tool somthing like the one in the picture for your finish work. If you've never done this before, be aware that it requires a lot of patience, and it isn't something you want to rush.

    Shoot well and often,

    Mark.
