    This is serious.

But I can help. In conjuction with Black & Decker I have developed a relatively in-expensive tool to optically (up to 100 yards) measure the size and color of a woodpecker's bill.

Maybe you have seen it at your local Walmart. It's called:
Dan's Black & Decker Pecker Checker

    Better safe than sorry.

hey, even our woodpeckers are too smart to fly all the way up there, plenty of trees to peck right here at home. sounds like some yankee tryin to steal our imaginary birds...lol

    Dan,

Is your Pecker Checker able to deferrentiate between an honest pecker and one that's using performance enhancing drugs?

To be honest I think you folks are expecting too much out of a tool that retails for only $48.95

I have been working, however, on a new improved model that may be able to answer your questions. I took it out this weekend and took a reading at the skeet range and another at a trap field. It confirmed my earlier hypothosis.

It will be available for $149.50 at Walmart. They should have it on their shelves by July 1.

Dan, did you sell a few of those to homeland security for airport use?

See-Alice, Dr. approved alternative for woodpeckers wanting to peck longer in the forest?

There are two huge trees in Sparta, right next to each other. One is a Beech, the other a Birch. One day, they look down and notice a strong sapling taking root beneath them, and they start to wonder whose child it is. They can't tell if it's a beech or a birch. Along comes the ivory billed woodpecker, and they decide to enlist his help. "Excuse me, Mr. Woodpecker. We would like to know if that sapling down there is a son of a beech or a son of a birch. Can you check it out for us?" The woodpecker agrees to help and swoops down to the sapling. A few minutes later, he reports back. "Gentlemen, you need to know that it is neither a son of a beech or a son of a birch, but is, in fact, one of the finest pieces of ash into which I have sunk my pecker."

Are you guys sure about Mayor Daly. Calling him a Peckerwood and all. I always figured he was a Peckerhead, not a Peckerwood.
