I seem to remember on a cleaning thread in recent past there was a solvent or cleaner that was safe on wood? I thought it might be Kroil or Clenzoil, but neither site gives much information as it pertains to safe materials.

Could someone refresh my memory? No amount of searching has turned the thread up.

    Thanks.

My family has used Murpheys Oil soap to clean the kitchen cabinets and other wood for years

Clenzoil can also be used on wood, leather, and metal as a cleaner and protectant ... I have used it for years and not found anything better ... I buy it by the case so I don't run out of it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

If the wood is covered with a finish, one is not actually cleaning the wood, only the finish covering the wood.
