    The best thing I found was a product called: PC Woody. You can find this in the Home Depot web sight.

    Also check Brownels the last I knew they still sold a rub-in filler with a little stain in different colors, I have used this & was pleased with the results. Ross Puls

    I've had great success with Jasco wood filler available at Sherwin-Williams paint stores. It was available in colors, but I've used the "natural" type mixed with the stain of my choice. It's done the trick on some really porous oak projects of mine, so walnut would be a piece of cake.
