Call Bill Mains the engraver in Indiana. He used to engrave the 5e and 7e. He has a book with all the serial #s and a huge ammount of info. Look up his web page as He is still one of the best in the usa

This 4e was built 1951. Probably engraved by Bill Mcgraw, he signed some of his work in the grass behind trapshooter left side. Very nice gun. I own 2 4e & 1 5e. Steve Karst..

Beautiful gun and I hope you enjoy shooting it as much as I do mine. I see the recoil pad was replaced and it looks like the case colors have been redone. Reguardless it's a very nice piece of trapshooting history. Here is my old gun.

Both are beautiful guns. Is that the original stock otnot? I don't usually see them with the monte carlo stock.

Ron Your Ithaca is a 4e with 5e checkering pattern. It is a 1951 built gun. It has a 1970/s or 198o/s recoil pad. It looks like it has a flame case color on the receiver. It looks like a factory rebuild Ithaca did in that time period. 70/s or 80/s. It is nice, but not original. SHOOT IT at least once in a while. I have owned several Ithaca SBTs over the years, and my regular shooter is a 5e that has quite a bit of extra engraving on it. Don't know if it factory or not. I use 7/8 oz shot with 15gr 700x in sts hulls win primer down range wad. That load will break every target that I point the old Ithaca correctly!!

Ron; If I still have the 5-E that I traded for, we can have a "squeeze-trigger" shoot-off. Ought to be fun to try to pull for a couple of "release-guys"....LOL....merlyn
