Today at Allegan Gun club started out warm and just got warmer and the Mosquitos were as big as Chicken Hawks but that didnt stop from getting a big turnout with lots of shooters with protections starting at 10am and a sign up for the calcutta deadline at 12noon with lunch being tacos and fried rice and all the trimming and fresh topping and desserts ,as always a special thanks to all the volunteers who run such and great shoot and serve a great lunch ,now a few pics from today...

As you can see cllear skies and full squads always a good time at Allegan Gun Club with great traps and a good background makes for some good scores ..

We had people from all over today signing up and shooting not being bothered by the warm weather it was only those dang Mosquitos i think i seen a couple guys crack and were shooting at them !! and the smell today wasnt from the lilacs it was more like bug spray colonge LOL!

And bug or no bugs it didnt stop people from hanging outside enjoying the weather and catching up with friends between rounds..
We had Harry Lausman & Trevor Bouma stop by to shoot today we will have to wait for the results on the board to see how they did today but im guessing pretty well..
And here we have Tim Schanz either in deep thought in how he was gonna shoot the first 75 birder that he got stuck shooting with Gary Metheny (standing) oh i mean got the pleasure to shoot with Gary or else Tim was just taking a nap i forget which!!
And as always a Big Thanks goes out to one of the Best trappers ever and might i say one of the prettiest also Bre Leeuw and also to Joey Kiss and the other trappers for fighting the bugs and the heat so we all can have a good shoot ,oh yeah and the guy with Bre is Brad Marshall but im pretty sure nobdy even noticed him !!
And getting back to Tim Shooting with Gary ,Hook never had to have the loads Tim had today to back up Gary and i dont know what speed Tim was shooting but it had a afterburner effect when he opened his gun !!
Today wasnt all hot temps and bugs though all you had to do was come inside and sit in the cool air conditioning and watch from the clubhouse ...
And of course what would calcutta sunday be without the rummy game in full swing ,now lets get to the calcutta board from th 75 bird draw ..

Today we had 24 teams for 5 squads and in first place we had..

1ST Place at 74 we had 2 teams tied that split Denny & Anthony Seekman and Roy & Don Stevens good shooting guys !

2nd Place we had 2 teams tied at 73 and they split Louie K. & Mike Leeuw and Scott Essenberg & Brad Marshall

3rd 5 teams tied at 72 and Bill P. and Trevor Bouma winning the shootoff

4th 3 teams tied at 71 that got down to 2 then they split with Mike Bork & Doc and George Coffe and Dan VH.

5th 2 teams tied and Buck R. and Corwin winning the shootoff

    Good shoting everyone !
And ill end this for now with a Big Thumbs up From Anthony Seekman relaying what we all feel about Allegan Gun Club always a Great job and ill add the results from the 75 bird pick when i get the pics .....
