Reminds me a little of Iowa homegrounds in 2008. Only that was river flood water and lots of mud.

Good luck with the traps after you get the water out of the houses. You guys got a lot of work ahead of you. Fortunately, you've got a lot of potential help standing around with nothing better to do.

I just got done talking to a few people on their way back home today and they stated that only today has been canceled, they are all planning on shooting the rest of the week. Also talked to a couple who are on the grounds and they also confirmed just today has been canceled. No One said that the rest of the shoot has been canceled. I'm on my way down in about an hour.

Sorry I will not have internet when on the grounds.

I would check the Wisconsin Trapshooting website's for updates, they are the ones on the grounds, they will have the best up to date information.

    Good Shooting,
    Andy Hall

The events for today have been canceled. As I look out the clubhouse window, pumps are emptying out the houses that people can get to and the targets are being unloaded from the houses.

We'll be getting out money's worth out of Myron this year. I'll update as soon as I know about tomorrow, but it is too soon to say as to what work we'll be able to get completed today.

I bet Myron is a ball of joy today! :)

Heads up -- you might want to take down the video of the wads floating by, especially if they are floating to someplace outside of the property.... I would hate to see Wisconsin get sued over that... if it is removed from this thread, I will remove this comment....

I thought the new culverts were suppose to take care of the flooding...well nothing is going to stop a flood like that.

If the WTA pulls this one off, then they deserve our praise, heck they deserve it anyhow, even with out the flood. Hang in there dudes and dudette's.

Bring your hip boots to shoot...girls bring you hip huggers and white tee shirts. LOL

good luck to you. I was invloved with Iowa in 2008 when we had 37 traps sit under water for many days. There was a lot of work involved with getting everything put back in order. One of the things we also fought was the fact that we had no electricity so generators were used for power for repair work. It was quite a job. You also find out who the real helpers are.

Any of you WTA workers need a Tanqueray and Tonic just look me up...just ask someone from the Sauk who the TNT guy is, they'll point me out. You too girls in white tee shirts

Good while supplies last. Tankr is not cheap, but sure tastes good when the work and shooting is done for the day.

We're making headway! The water had dropped over a foot and is still falling. See the thread titled "Wisconsin State Shoot Update" for further information.

ATAJohn when or where has anyone said anything about building a home grounds on a flood plane. Or what was it you were trying to say?

How ya gonna shoot off those machines with their motors under water?

I'd think it'd take a day or two of dry weather to salvage the motors. Surely, they need attention...?

How often has this happened in the past? 25-50-75 years ago. If Rhinelander
survived 8 inches of rain, could it survive a tornado?
