Boxhorn SE Zone and 5 man Information.

The June 15, 16, 17, and June 22,23,24 Boxhorn Gun Club is hosting the above two shoots. Some notes of interest for everyone coming.

    • The Club opens one hour prior to the events starting. Events start at 10am on Fridays and 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for all Shoots.
    • Our preliminary Zone Shoot on Friday is a 100/100/100 event with Tilden Trophy Belt Buckles given as awards to the high shooter in each event and a HOA buckle.
    • Cost for targets for all events for the zone shoot is $24.
    • Cost for targets for the five man are $24 Fri/Sat and $18 on Sunday.
    • The championship events start on Saturday for the SE Zone Shoot.
    • We are shooting DOUBLES FIRST ON SATURDAY June 16 for the zone. 100 targets per trap. So all your doubles will be shot on one trap. We are using 4 traps for doubles.
    • Handicap for the Zone starts at about 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 16 We are shooting 25 targets per trap across 4 traps. We have two banks of 4 traps. You will either be on an even bank or an odd bank.
    • The 200 singles event is on Sunday June 17. We are shooting the same way as we are shooting the handicap above except it is a 200 bird event. When everyone completes their first hundred we will start the second hundred.
    • Check out Boxhorn.com for the complete money program for both shoots. There are separate links for both shoots.

For those of you who have not been to our club in a while here are some other bits of information:
Our line is all asphalt so if it is warm outside it is even warmer on our line.
There is not a lot of grass or shaded areas on the grounds so if you have pop up canopies you might want to bring them. I will have two 12 x 20 tents up.
Food: We will serve food in our air conditioned club house and bar area. There is also a full service restaurant on the grounds. Poker machines are available in both places along with pool, foosball, darts, and other video games.

PARKING…. For the zone shoot parking should not be an issue at all. We will max out for the five man though. We have about 150 parking spaces on the asphalt parking lot on the grounds. We have an additional 50 to 60 spaces on the grass area IF the ground is dry which it is at this time. That’s a total of 210 spaces. The five man last year had 75 squads on Sunday. That is 375 shooters. WE ARE ENCOURAGING YOU TO CARPOOL WITH YOUR FELLOW SHOOTERS. EVEN IF YOU RIDE WITH JUST ONE OTHER PERSON IT WILL BE A HUGE HELP. IF EVERYONE PAIRS UP IT IS A NON ISSUE. IF 80% PAIR UP IT IS STILL A NON ISSUE. IF EVERYONE COMES ALONE YOU WILL BE PARKING DOWN THE STREET A WAYS! PLEASE CARPOOL IF YOU CAN!

On Saturday and Sunday we are shooting across 4 banks of traps. There are 2 traps per bank. YOU ARE SHOOTING 10 TARGETS PER STATION 50 TARGETS PER TRAP.
If you have any questions please call us at the club at 414 425 0337 or send an email to Rick@boxhorngunclub.com Thanks much and we’ll see you at the shoots.
