May I ask for recommendations on the best hat/cap for trapshooting in the winter? JM

If you wear ear plugs than try an Irish Walking hat. Its warm,a lot classier than those Kiss My Bass hats, and women like them. Hold about 50 empty hulls if you're dumpster diving for once-fired too.

jm1079 Around our gun club (North-East Ohio) some of the guys wear a stocking hat over a ball cap. It looks dorky, but it works really well.Hope this helps George

My personal favorite is the simms flap cap!

Stormy Kromer...all wool, no acrylic...protects neck and ears, too.<center>

I've got a couple "Radar O'Reilly" caps that work well. Similar to the one linked above.

What I prefer is a wool ball cap. Not cotton. I use plastic
hearing protectors over the cap. A shooter spends more time
in the club house during cold weather shooting than he does
on the trap line. Some of the caps shown are better for ice fishing
    than trap shooting.
