I bought a new laptop with windows 8 and this website will not function I also cannot get quotes or research on my Scottrade account. Scottrade tells me they are not compatable with windows 8 I assume Trapshooters.com is not either. Anybody got any ideas?????? If I go thru Google Chrome as suggested by Scottrade it's no problem.

IE8 is not compatible with many web functions. It's really retrograde for compatibility. The solution is to use an alternative browser.

I prefer Firefox because I can use add-ons like Flash Block, google-no-tracking, Redirect Cleaner, Redirect Remover, Ad Block, etc. These are more for protecting privacy and blocking unwanted actions.

Another useful add-on is Netvideohunter. This allows you to easily download and save videos from YouTube, etc.

Microsoft is simply doing their best to make themselves irrelevant.

BTW, while I do use Windows, my machine to surf the web is Linux. Windows is simply too vulnerable to use on the Internet even with top quality AV protection. My personal Windows machines are rarely allowed web access.

I can get Trapshooters.com with explorer but it's incredibly slow and it won't let me reply to a thread even though I'm signed in.

Well since some of you weren't having any trouble with windows 8 I decided to dump everything including windows and re install all. It took most of the afternoon and you know what it didn't help a bit still the same so I put on Google Chrome and explorer and that's it no more downloads I'll just live with it but I sure don't appreciate windows after spending that money.

I just got a new Laptop (HP) with Win 8 on Saturday and TS.Com works just fine along with other items I was able to figure out. It's really different and would have preferred Win 7, but not available at all through regular outlets. So we'll just tough it out and learn something new for a change. The e-mail seems overly complicated compared to earlier versions, can't see any reason for the changes. I'm just old and senile as well.
