1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

The Morton Automated Shell Catching (MASC) and the Morton Gas Operated Recoil Reducer (MGORR) devices are one and the same device. The following applies equally to this “combined” (MASC-GORR) device.

The MASC/GORR is the world's only gas-operated shell catcher and gas-operated recoil reducer for Remington and Winchester autoloading shotguns.

BOTH shell catching AND recoil reducing functions are incorporated in the same unit. Hence the MASC-GORR designation.

The MASC/GORR is available in several versions:

    1. The MASC/GORR-1100 for Remington 1100, 12 and 20 gauge (Large Frame only) auto-loaders. To learn which model shotguns the MASC/GORR-1100 will and will not fit; or, to place an order for an MASC/GORR-1100, click on Title Bar #1 below.

    2. The MASC/GORR-1187 for Remington 11-87, 12 and 20 gauge (Large Frame only) auto-loaders. To learn which model shotguns the MASC/GORR-1187 will and will not fit; or, to place an order for an MASC/GORR-1187, click on Title Bar #2 below.

    3. The MASC/GORR'S for the Winchester Super X-1, Winchester Super X-2, and the Browning Gold. For information on these MASC/GORR's click on Navigation Button Nr. 6, located in the upper left corner of this page. Each of these three shotguns has its own Title Bar at the bottom of that page.

    MASC/GORR BENEFITS:

Click on Title Bar #3 below, and you'll learn about the many and varied benefits to be derived from installation of a MASC/GORR in your Remington, Winchester, or Browning autoloader.

    SHELL CATCHER GENERAL INFORMATION:

The gas-operated shell catcher feature permits you to catch and save 100% of your singles and 50% of your doubles. When shooting 25 targets at skeet (where doubles are intermixed with singles), only four empties are thrown onto the ground. Yet you never have to switch, adjust, remove, or change anything when going back and forth between singles and doubles. Hence the "Automated" in its name.

For detailed information on all MASC/GORR's and how the gas-operated shell catcher works, click on Title Bar #4 at the bottom of this page.

    RECOIL REDUCER GENERAL INFORMATION:

Probably the most amazing feature of the MASC/GORR is its ability to reduce recoil during "The Total Recoil Event." This feature is also gas-operated, which means it actually starts working before the wad/shot column are out of the barrel. For this reason, the "counter-force" required to neutralize the various components of recoil, actually starts working as recoil is being created.

For complete information on: 1) Everything you'll ever need to know about recoil, and; 2) how the gas-operated recoil reducer works, click on Title Bar #5 at the bottom of this page.

To learn how you can evaluate the effectiveness of a MASC/GORR as a recoil reducer, click on Title Bar #6 at the bottom of this page.

    AVAILABILITY:

The Morton Automated Shell Catcher/Gas-Operated Recoil Reducer is ONLY available from Tom Morton & Co.
