I have always used Winchester 209 primers but the price has jumped to $32/k. I can get CCI 209 primers for $22/k. Someone once said CCI are harder on the firing pin and a bit hotter. What do you guys think?? Thanks Ken

CCI 209 primers are just fine. Use data for them and you'll be ok. They are NOT the equivalent of anything except themselves. For the price difference, you'll do well with them. Any primer can give you ignition troubles if your gun has a problem with the firing pins, springs, hammers, etc. If your gun is OK, then it's no problem.
