    These had some budding collectors value at one time

    What are they going for now?

    Last fall two auctions two weeks apart, one brought just over a g and the other just under. They were 90-92%.

    Depends on condition, caliber and where you live. East coast states sell higher. 284 and 358 cal fetch 2 - 3 times as much as 243 and 308 cals. 90% and higher original condition will be of interest to a collector. So is your gun a shooter or a collector? Daryl.

    Shooter==

    There was always something neat about the lever actions-- shot my first deer with a savage 99 in 300 savage

    Love a model 39 that I have

    Have had model 336s and 94s and shot many of the others-

    Many 88s that you see have been stored and not shot = so the shooters are rarely seen and so it is hard to put a value on them.

    I love mine in 358Win...big bullets make big holes..hunted with it a couple times, taking it to my treestand in a nice weatherproof softcase so it still looks like new..lever guns are by far my favorite rifles...shot my last deer with a Marlin 1894FG 41Rem Mag at 95yards it flipped a nice Pa 8pt and dropped him in his tracks with a factory Federal Fusion 210grHP...way more fun than sniping with a 500yd laserbeam magnum
