What is a 1960's era Winchester Model 42 worth in 80-95% condition?

    Thanks.

depends on the grade and if it has vent rib, etc. a plain barrel gun probably worth around $650-$700.

From what I've been seeing they start at around $1200 reguardless of shape or configuration. On average I would say around $1600-$2000 though.

I just sold one for $750.00 in a true 90% plus. They have died off a lot around here.

Here is the Model 42 info....

Made in 1963, 26" plain barrel, full choke, and no engraving. It is in 90%+ condition.

Given the info...what is it worth?

    Thanks.

    Jim,

Please refer to the above URL. I called them about the gun they had there and told them about the 42 in 95%+ condition. They say they can sell them for $2000-$2500 all day long in that condition.
