I understand Winchester made approximately 42 thousand Model 12 guns in 1923. Is there a way to determine how many or what percentage were made with 32" barrels?

In my experience, less than 1%.

I had a 1926 Nickel steel Model 12 with a 28 inch barrel and solid matted rib. I would think a 32" barrel would be the Heavy Duck Gun and I don't know when they were first made.

The 3" Heavy Duck wasn't made until 1936. I know the model, just trying to find out the production figures. Eightbore has confirmed what another collector stated. Thanks!
