I know the answer was posted on here a couple of weeks(?) ago, but I can't find it so I'm going to ask: When did Winchester stop inlaying black diamonds into the grips of their trap/pigeon guns?

Up until 1939 it was a standard offering and custom order after that. Jeff

Was it standard on all pigeon trap guns? I have one built in 29 that dosen't have the diamond in the stock.

Faked up gun. No pigeons on the extension in 1929. A picture may tell us whether the TRAP marking is for real.

eightbore, I've compared the gun with others and the markings look the same and the #'s match so Idoubt that it's "fakeed up"
