I think I picked up a pretty rare model 12. It is a 16ga 30" full. YES it is 30" from what I can find it was only catloged for 6 year. Do any of you know any thing about this and what the value would be it looks to be 98%. Thanks Again Matt
I have a 16ga Model 12 with a 30" full choke barrel with a solid rib. I've heard it is a pretty rare configuration. If my memory works I think it was made around 1938 or so. I might have to check on that though.
According to Dave Riffle's book the 16ga M12 was offered with 30" barrels from 1930 to 1950 with either plain or matted rib barrel. They are not that common compared to the 28". Value? How bad do you want it? (Or want to sell it?). Nice find though.
Good call on that. I was told by Don "Duck" Combs. That it was only 6 years. As I was helping him load his 42 display up at the Colorado Colletors Show. Now that you say that I went and looked in my Book by Dave and yes he says from 1930-1950. Then I looked in my factory catolgs and after 1948 they don't list it so who realy know. I do thank all of you for the help.
Matt
