Hey guys...this is my first post here. I'm just getting into clays, so I'm trying to make due with what shotguns I have on hand before I spend money on some decent pieces.

I have a good working Winchester 1400 MKII. I know it is an economy gun, but it is paid for and it fits me pretty well. For some reason, it has a 1200 full barrel on it. I've had this gun for years and just realized the barrel isn't original to the gun I would like to replace the barrel with a skeet barrel, or better yet, one with chokes. Finding 1400 barrels does not seem possible. So...

    1. Are the 1200 barrels interchangeable with the 1400 MKII or did someone modify a 1200 barrel to fit my gun?

    2. What are my options here for a barrel? I've looked around for a 1400 barrel in 12ga and I don't see any out there.

    Thanks for any help.

    Tony

The 1200 is a pump and, I thought, the 1400 was a auto. Am I wrong?

It is an auto...and I don't know how that barrel got on there but it is. The bluing is ever so slightly different.

    So...the 1500 barrel will interchange with a 1400 barrel?

The 1200 barrel would have to be drilled for the gas vents. I seemed to remember Winchester made some of them with the parts they had on hand. So it may have come from the factory that way,

I would think the barrels were identical except for the gas vents.
