1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

This skeet set is absolutely in new condition. Not one single handling mark. It is the pre-war variety with fine 20 lines to the inch checkering. Has factory winchester buttplate & grip cap. It is kind of low lustre oiled finish. I found this wrapped in paper in a drawer in an old retired gunsmiths basement. Price is $1000.00 to your door. Thanks again.

Matt, How can you tell it's not a repo set? I'm not saying it is, just want to know how you can tell.

As to repo set what are you meaning the jap made ones. If that is what you mean they all had meatel grip caps and diffrent butt plates.

The eisiest way to tell this is a reproduction (as in made by a stockmaker not a jap) is right behind the grip cap. The soft transition from the grip to the side of the stock is a stand out. Look on the internet at an original set. They have a sharp line cut in the wood moving up and somewhat parallel to the grip checkering panel. Also on the bottom of the stock the soft transition behind the grip cap to the belly. This is nice work, but I believe it to be a nice stockmakers work and a recently made stock from a Wenig blank or one of the many other blank suppliers. Most forget to cut that line.

I have attached a picture of an original set on a gunbroker auction. Look at picture 9, it is the only good grip cap shot. It will show you what I am talking about. You will seet the sharp line behind the grip cap and a different transition to the belly.

    Hope this helps.
