Send both barrels with the 21 to the gunsmith you chose. The trigger assembly is finicky and usually has to be set with both barrels together.

Just my experience, but check with your gunsmith before sending one barrel.

Regards, and good shooting (love the 21)

I think you should ask JIM VETA who to fit the barrels for you.. Jim deals in these "Classic" Guns and IMO knows a LOT about them. Joe joe90t

    .

    Have a Model 21 with 32-inch vent-rib barrel choked Full and Extra-Full.

The stock is a straight-grip Monte Carlo stock.

It shoots fine, but my wrist gets tired and sore compared to a conventional pistol-grip on a trap gun.

Who would you recommend to make a pistol-grip Monte Carlo stock for trap shooting ?

Have talked to some of the usual stock makers recommended but they don't do the metal work necessary to convert the straight-grip to pistol-grip.

I've done 5 or 6 of them. The trigger tangs reshape very easy. You do have to be careful of over bending, most are very soft and will come apart at the screw holes. Larry

Could metal be gotten to do the pistol-grip stock so the straight metal could be saved for the straight stock ?

I bet you could find one. Connecticut shotguns should have them. Larry

There is only one "factory repair and alteration" place for the m21. That is Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. They bought all of the original equipment, plans, parts and rights to the M21. They do an excellent job with trained M21 people and are the ONLY ones in the US that you can claim a "factory" repair or refurbishment job.

I've had a trap model there for a hinge pin, barrel reblueing and cleaning job done. Very happy with the work
