Guns like the 1300 and Mossberg 500 with alloy receivers are cheaper than
some other pumps with steel receivers like the Rem 870. The 870 and 31 Rems
and the Win md 12 are notable for their endurance. My question is how does
the Win 1300 compare to other guns in it's class; lower priced alloy receiver
pumps? Anyone have any real knowledge about this?

The guns mentioned are all low end pricewise for US guns. Have a Win. 1200 pump Field model that I used for Trap for a number of years. Only problem was I metal fatigued the bolt carrier after 20,000 rounds. At the time, the part was under $30 and it was ready to go again. It is a steel bolt that engages a steel barrel. Got into Trap more and went to that type of gun. The 1200 sits in my closet with a 18 1/2 " barrel and pistol grip....hope I never have to use it, but I don't question it will work. I also have 4 870's and 2 Model 12's and 6 other trap guns...like them all!
