How much of a hassle would it be to get a Winchester 101 unsingle barrel and have it fit to your gun? Thanks

Having the barrel fitted isn't much of an issue .....finding one is. You don't see just barrels for 101's up for sale too often.

I gave up on finding a barrel, had a single, bought a double and had them fitted to both receivers, now I have a combo ,with a back up receiver in case anything breaks,(which would never happen with a 101 )total investment was less than 1200 dollars, Dan

Sounds to me like you made the right choice and I'm sure you will be happy with the combo you have now. I shoot a Diamond and love it. Dan
