The only similar thing between the two models is the name.

The Select is a very fine gun for the money. A friend and fellow Coach bought three. One for each teen daughter, and one for himself. The girls, on our SCTP teams, promptly shot their lifetime best with the Selects, and are a force to be reckoned with.

I serviced the guns for them, and was very impressed at the high level of workmanship in these firearms. They seem to be a mix of the best of Browning and Beretta, not a bad thing at all.

These guns are built for Browning by FN in Herstal, Belgium. They have barrels identical to Browning as to bore size and Invector Plus chokes.

The earlier 101's were made by Nikko and have no parts interchange.

I have a NIB Supreme Sporting (Earlier model) of the same venue afailable for $900.00 Plus ship to your FFL.

Other than a little less final amenities these are very good guns AFIK.
