That looks to be a pre-tang safety, pre Angle Eject 375. If true, it's got a bore of .379 and will really like 250 grn GC lead bullets at .380. It will also digest 38-55 cases without trouble allowing some BP fun if so inclined. I have just such a gun and wouldn't part with it for the world. It also loves the factory 250 gn load (which is almost impossible to find). it works well with the factory 200 gn load too but again, hand loaders are the real market for this gem. Imagine a 38-55 +P deer rifle and you get the idea. BTW, I bought mine back in 2004 and if set me back $400 NIB. I got lucky tht day.
