Has anyone noticed the designations on AA's this past summer. [IMG]
The latest hulls I have are showing the bar under the AA..As in right hull, center & left are like in past. Anyone have any ideas. (Useful, that is)

When new shell purchase was mandatory, in Vandalia, the manufacturers sometimes altered the logo for identification. Shells left over at the end of the shoot were bought up, by distributors, and sold throughout the country, some not showing up for several years. I just got some a few weeks ago that were made for the 2005 "Grand".

To add to both replys, then this could be the latest production.
The shoot club from which I buy hulls did say these came from Zanders, They bought many cases this past Oct., '07

The old black AA's were the best handicap shells I ever saw. Next in line were the paper Federals with the 12-c1 wads. Dang I miss the old days.

I, along with sammyd, do not recall the reddish-orange shells but I did not start shooting AA shells until 1964.

The reddish orange ones may have been red ones that were exposed to sun and rain for an extended time.

We have one that was deposited in the broken window of our club by the 1964 PA State champion. It still hasn't turned orange since 1970 or thereabouts!!
