    Willie Nelson

    Whether or not
you are a country music fan, these are truly the words of a
deep thinker and a highly intelligent person. So simple,
yet so profound! Read the words of wisdom from that
famous philosopher Willie Nelson, iconic country and western
singer, on his 75th birthday. Only a man with such wisdom and
maturity could be so concise and succinct in phrasing his
feelings at this turning point in his
    life.
    "I have outlived my
    pecker."

Talk about somebody whacked, I saw him some time ago being interviewed on TV, can't remember the show. I did not watch it very long as I couldn't believe some of the whacked out statements from him. Not one of our brighter country western minds.

I saw Willie Nelson about 15 years ago and thought that he didn't look bad for a guy who was 75 back then, because he sure didn't look like he was 60 at the time ... They had Willie Nelson and a box of Rocks take the SAT's, the box of Rocks won but not by all that much ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Saw Willie at a State Fair about 25 years ago. He put on
a great show. Didn't try to turn it into a standup comedian
show just picked and sang. When first came on stage did about
4 numbers and then introduced himself as if it was necessary.

Too many fatties. Some day he'll look down at his guitar and see that it has shot craps.

One night years ago in Evergreen, CO I had the pleasure to sit next to Willie in a bar. I enjoyed his conversation, his common sense and his down to earth demeanor. He wasn't wacked at all and didn't bad mouth anybody. Mik

I doubt Willie is celebrating his birthday worrying about being badmouthed by some D-A blogger.

I find this thread interesting because if he said that and was being truthful. It would have been said two years ago.

Willie was born April 30, 1933 that would make him 77 the 30th of last month.

A lot of singers do a song different in person than on a record. People buy the record because they like the way it sounds. Then they see the singer in person and he talks half of the song and often sings it to a different tune. Willie is guilty of this. I wouldn't walk across the street to see him.
