I am looking to load the following for Pheasants (since I have 5 pounds of Blue Dot powder to get rid of)

    Remington STS Hull
    1 1/4 ounce #6 shot
    Win 209 Primer
    36gr Blue Dot Powder
    WAAAF114 Wad

The wad is the part that I am replacing from a Remington SP12 wad from a recipe that I found. Will this recipe be safe?

Maybe not a good idea. The WAA12F114 generally builds more pressure than the SP12. Your pushing 10G's with the SP12.

Back that load down to 33.0 grains of Blue Dot and that should be more than sufficient.

Additionally this is using your Remington STS hull and 1 1/4 ounce shot.
