The gun hating Senator Lautenberg has died. Will GOV Christie appoint a conservative who believes in the constitution or kiss BO butt and appoint a liberal to continue Lautenberg's legacy of attacking the constitution.

You right wing wackos. Your intolerance is astounding. Christie is just a politician trying do all he can for his constituents. He's not the kind that would sell out his own for political expedience. Just ask Gene.

Are they any conservatives in NJ? You gotta find one before you can appoint one. Is Snooki old enough to be a Senator? She can sit next to that clown Al Franken from Minn.

The people elected a democrat, therefore, if it were me, I would appoint a democrat until the people decide to elect a republican.

They elected a Republican as their Governor, so I would expect him to act like a Republican.

Yes, but he is a Republican Governor in a liberal state. He has to stroke both sides; hence the tough decision. Like I said, the voters spoke, I would let their voices be heard until they have the opportunity to speak again. That's just me.

548, So the voters in NJ are "uneducated" like Rush says? They didn't know the Gov. has the appointment powers when an old fart politician cashes in the chips?

The Dem. that ran against Christie must have really sucked.

Setter, I just said what I would do. Never said it's what will be done. I have no reason or interest in arguing with you or anyone else regarding what I would do if the decision were mine to make.

The Constitution and original documents of the founding fathers are "ever growing" and "flexible documents" unless the Libs get them where they want them,.....then they are good to go!
