and would vote for him again. He and Dick Cheney are the only politicians in Washington DC that I trust to do what is right for this Country. I think McCain might be able to do that. I know Palin will be able to that. For better thoughts on this tune to Ann Coulter. Link above, excerpt below.

PS: Watch for the local Bush Derangement Syndrome suffers to post their hate-filled drivel below:

"A year after the 9/11 attack, The New York Times' Frank Rich was carping about Bush's national security plans, saying we could judge Bush's war on terror by whether there was a major al-Qaida attack in 2003, which -- according to Rich --would have been on al-Qaida's normal schedule.

Rich wrote: "Since major al-Qaida attacks are planned well in advance and have historically been separated by intervals of 12 to 24 months, we will find out how much we've been distracted soon enough." ("Never Forget What?" New York Times, Sept. 14, 2002.)

There wasn't a major al-Qaida attack in 2003. Nor in 2004, 2005, 2006 or 2007. Manifestly, liberals thought there would be: They announced a standard of success that they expected Bush to fail."

I don't want the World to love us, I want the World to fear us.

A man's character speaks volumes. In eight years in office, no scandals to speak of, appears to have been a devoted and faithful husband and father to Laura and the girls throughout their marriage.

Whether or not IRAQ was the right thing to do, the entire nation/Congress expected him to do something and he made the "big chair" decision. We'll never know what he knew or didn't know, but as a family man with deeply religious centering - I have to believe he went on his conscious, and only the "Big Guy" upstairs can ultimately judge him.

Brooks hit it on point and we've yet to be hit again in Bush's term...

As do I and have said many times. I too would vote for them again. Either or these men could have chosen much easier course for themselves, but chose to stay and fight the good fight for the betterment of our country. I do not know that I would have the courage of my conviction that Msr. Bush and Cheney have displayed but I am very glad that they have.

As I watched the History Channel last Thursday, I thought to myself "Why do we not see this video every week?"

I cannot imagine the emotional turmoil he was going through when he decided "enough was enough" and its time to make a stand against the Terrorist unlike the in the past ... Tough call but someone had to do it, not just talk about it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I would also vote for Bush again. I am old school to the point where I would, once again, go overseas and help defend the rights of such miserable souls as the Rev Wright, and the selfish, misguided children of the left on this site to vent hate, rage, and generally show their ignorance and lack of maturity.

I doubt, if after the bombing at Pearl Harbor, we had an exit plan from the European or Pacific Theatres of War. When we declared War on Japan, who actually attacked us, we also declared War on Germany and Italy. Italy had done nothing to us in a military manner, but were associated and tied to the other Axis Powers. Does this sound like history has repeated itself recently?

The Muslim's "exit stategy" is to die at the hands of their enemy (us). I think we should do all we can to honor them in their quest to live up to the ultimate demands of their religion.

Those among us who honor, placate, and respect the Muslim are nothing less than domestic enemies.

    2str8...

No no... I was looking for the Bush impeachment hearings... you know the ones that the present "democratic-controlled" Congress are should be bringing against good Ol' George W... if, as you say, he's personally responsible...

The "socialists" should have no problem making the charges stick... I say bring it on!

The major failing of Bush and the previous Republican Congress/ Senate majority was uncontrolled spending without an adequate revenue stream (taxes) to pay the bills. Nobody should ever claim the Republican party represents those of us that are financial Conservatives. The knock on Democrats has been they are "Tax and spend" well the new slogan for Republicans should be "Borrow and spend".

I wish that just once, Bush would go on national TV and state the
real reason we invaded Iraq. It was to take the fight to the enemy on their own shore,so to speak. The terrorists are lining up in droves
to be killed by our military there, not in the streets of the US of A!

Can you honestly expect me to believe one word of those statements with all the Democrat designed and tax payer funded and widely abused social programs? Such as welfare, food stamps, and the best one of all the 380 billion dollars a year dished out to the Illegal Immigrants using these social programs.

Thats Illegal immigrants people in violation of the law. People that should be deported. People that come here from another country refuse to learn the language and fly their countries flag above the US flag on US soil.

You call yourself American I call your statements on the failings of Bush and the former republican controlled Congress. Nothing more than Socialist drivel designed to do away with our democratic form of Government. There are other words for it but the rule of this forum forbid me from using them. Of course they can't forbid me from thinking them.

flincher, we know that you are an ignorant liberal but could you please quote where melie said that any of the 9/11 attackers were Iraqis? Gee, I didn't think so. So I guess either you are typically mistaken in your reading comprehension or are just a lying sack of s**t. Which is it?

I do admire George Bush and think he has had to deal with some very difficult problems during his presidency. I wouldn't vote for him again even if that were a possibility because I think he is worn out. Time for someone else to step up to the plate.

But on the subject of the war in Iraq and terrorism, the inital relation was that there was a dictator in Iraq that had a history of using brutality as his main form of negotiation and there was some reason to believe that he had WMDs. That was about as close to defining the fight against terrorism as we got. Probably most of the site particpants here have watched the DVD titled 'Obsessions' which better explains this global enemy of ours that is radical Islam. It doesn't have much to do with Iraq. This enemy is completely occupied with it's hatred of anything other that what it preaches and seeks to destroy all of us infidels. Time and national boundaries have no meaning to these rabid, brainwashed fanatics.

Thanks to Bob Lawless for pointing out another failing of Bush and the Republican White House/Congress/Senate. They did NOTHING about the illegal immigrant problem. And neither has McCain!
The sad part of this election is McCain/Palin is better than Obama/Biden. Remember the campaign finance reform law the NRA fought against? It's referred to as the McCain-Feingold Act. http://www.nraila.org/Issues/FactSheets/Read.aspx?id=203

Bob, because I point out some of the Republicans failures while they had control of the White House, Senate, and Congress doesn't make it "Socialist drivel designed to do away with our democratic form of Government." As a life long registered Republican, I feel my party has failed to demonstrate any fiscal prudence or any solution to the illegal immigrant problem when they had the opportunity and control. You do remember the McCain-Kennedy Immigration bill? Our beloved Ted Kennedy? Amnesty for illegal immigrants, is that what you support Bob?
