Our club operates on a don't ask, don't tell policy, so we have a number of skeet shooters. We trap shooters use voice activated traps, keep our own practice scores and turn the system on and off, before and after a round. We can get through a round in 10-12 minutes depending.... The skeet shooters require a puller. take 20 minutes or so per round, wear and tear on two machines and double the electrical usage. So how come we're paying the same price as them? Do any clubs have seperate rates for trap and skeet shooters?
    Thanks
    Dan

There's no requirement for a puller for skeet. Nearly every club I've shot would permit and encourage squads pulling their own birds; in fact rarely have a person available to pull and score. As far as one vs. two machines, there is a lot less technology and motion required for a skeet machine than trap; just consider the oscillating alone. Then, with push buttons, there's far fewer unintended birds than a squad of trapshooters talking between posts, moving voice calls, et cetera. No, I'm sure you'd find it's really not costing more for skeet practice if operated wisely.....Bob Dodd

Maybe you should bring it up at the next club meeting....

Why do some trap shooters whine so much about skeet? Go to a skeet forum and you won't find skeet shooters whining about trap. We are all gun owners who like to shoot our favorite game. Bad mouthing somebody else's favorite pastime (even in jest) just makes you look like a whiner. TJ member: ATA, NSSA, NRA
