why do win 101 forends all seem to break

    why does it seem like all winchester 101 foreamrs break along the top - rear ?

    most i have seen for sale all have broken and repaired forends ?

    Likely a design issue, but in the broad sense don't forget that the sh!t hit the fan for Wichester in 1964. They've never been the same.

    Because they don't keep the screws in the forearm iron tight.

    I have one 101 that I shot for 15 years and approx. 250,000 and another that has approx. 200,000. Neither have cracks.
