Assuming the same velocity (1200 fps) what advantage would there be in shooting 1 oz. of 7 1/2 s instead of 1 oz. of 8 s ?

    Thanks

A little bit more kinetic energy per pellet, that's all.

Depends upon how far you are from the traphouse.

What Gary said above. I've used both from the 27 and earned yardage with both loads.

I've used then (AA's) for all three disciplines....they work just fine.

The advantage I perceive with #7.5 shot is that, on those rare occasions when I "dust" a target I don't wonder whether bigger pellets would have broken that target. I use # 7.5 exclusively because #6 is illegal.

There is no one right answer or we'd all be shooting the same load. It's all about choices and compromise. You get to choose the compromises you're comfortable with.

You get an extra box per 25# bag.

7 1/2's retain their velocity a little better at longer distances.
