Anybody know who the maker of this rib might be? No markings anywhere that I can see.

Kinda what I was thinking since it isn't stamped "Simmons".

    Thanks,

Wayne, it does look like a Moneymaker but don't be fooled by it not being stamped Simmons. All you had to do was request the rib not to be stamped and you could get it with no name.

Is one better than the other? I picked this barrel up at a gun show over the weekend and was just curious.

    Thanks,

I've found Moneymaker to be a little heavier, no difference in quality.

It's not a Simmons. Simmons rib posts were oval...not rectangular. Unless Simmons did custom posts for this barrel...not likely.

Some where along the way the barrel was over bored to .745 and has about .010 choke. Does Moneymaker mark the barrel in any way when they do the work?

    Thanks,
    Wayne
