No one else would make a wood set up for my DT 10 except Stocker John Fittinger. I am very pleased with his work and recommend him highly. 503-668-1938 or 971-870-6597 Let him know I sent you his way.

Try Phil Simms in Colo. - he is a great stockmaker and I believe he has made PFS grips for S. Seitz (I have one w/comb that I was told came from him).

    Great workmanship.

VDT does wood combs for the PFS, but not the grips. I've had a couple of his combs, and they are top quality, I just couldn't get them to fit me the way I wanted.

VDT makes excellent combs.. but so many versions.. One must invest the time in talking to him.. or E-mailing.. so you get the right one.. His combs on Vern's PFS stocks took me to the top of my game..

Has anyone been known to cut a factory stock to fit a PFS to the grip portion??
Seem possible but would require a good stockmaker to make it fit correctly.

There is a guy on Long Island, NY - Jim Olivant of Highland Crest Stock Fitters who makes a complete wood grip and comb for the precision fit stock. I've seen 4 or 5 of them. Nice work and he's a really great guy.

I have for sale 2 wood grips and wood cheek pieces (sets) that will fit MX series Perazzi, and 1 grip and cheek piece (set) for a Remington 90-T, 870, 1100, or 1187. I am selling the sets for $ 350.00 each. I also have 2 plastic grips and cheek pieces for MX series Perazzi at $ 125.00 each

I just dug up this thread. My question is: Do they take your existing stock's grip and cut past the grip and install the PFS or do they make a whole new grip from scratch? Thanks, Dave T.

    Dave,

The best thing to do is call Jim Olivant 631.648.8289.

When everyone said a wood stock "Could NOT be made for a PFS", Jim was making them for bunches of people.

Jim can do many things. I'd just give him a call.

I've seen and shot his grips and cheek pieces and they're excellent!

    Shoot safely, well and often,
    Tom
