Bought a new k 80 trap special and was wandering who does the best custom stocks in the business? I haven't seen this debated before in the last little bit anyways.

Making a stock and stock fitting are 2 different things. What are you looking for.....someone to duplicate an existing one, or someone to fit you and then make a stock?

Paul Hodgins if you want a sidelock. He is a superb stocker, Englishman, and worked for Holland for many years before coming to the States...

Can't leave Phil Simms off the list - plus he has his own sawmile and wood supply.

Well, that is always subjective....but the question was "the best", so that is Dennis Devault and crew.

Paul Hillmer! Fine work spends the time needed to get the fit you need, delivers as promised. Great selection of wood. Paul and his wife are very fine folks. They have made several shooting stocks for me over the years. Beretta, Ljutic, Perazzi.

Isn't Jim Eyster in the business? If his stock work is anything like his choke work you have a winner,
