From what I've seen, he's not too likable a person. He was Slick Willie's senior advisor. Wikepedia says: Emanuel was named to the Board of Directors for the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation ("Freddie Mac") by then President Bill Clinton in 2000. His position paid him $31,060 in 2000 and $231,655 in 2001.[21] During the time Emanuel spent on the board, Freddie Mac was plagued with scandals involving campaign contributions and accounting irregularities.[22] The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) later accused the board of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention." Emanuel resigned from the board in 2001 when he ran for congress.[23]

CHANGE? Let's see, Dear Leader picked Biden, a Democratic, Washington, insider 'hack' and now this guy, an ill-mannered Clinton stooge. This is CHANGE?

CHANGE...It's what will be left in your paycheck after inauguration day.

Aren't he, Madeline Albright and Robert Reich brothers and sister? Well they're at least comrades anyway.

Coming to a country near you. Compliments of little o and the Klinton cabinet.

    Collector jailed after rifle found

wd3135236kent-email-pic.jpgA memorabilia collector has been jailed for five years for possessing a Second World War rifle listed as a prohibited firearm. The rifle was not in a condition to fire live ammunition.

But Stafford Crown Court heard replacing the deteriorated pin would have made that possible. Phillip Peter Kent, aged 29, of Owen Walk, Highfields, Stafford, was arrested in the street by police acting on information at 7.30am on June 20 this year.

Officers asked what they would find if they searched his home and he immediately told them about the Lee-Enfield rifle.

Mr Stephen Bailey, defending, told the court yesterday Kent had not bought ammunition nor sought to make any alterations to allow live bullets to be fired.

He also said Kent, a former member of the Territorial Army, was told by the seller the weapon had been de-commissioned.

Mr Bailey said: “He is a collector of memorabilia . To his knowledge the rifle was not capable of firing. He paid £100 for it from a man in Hanley about a year ago. He never knew about firearms legislation.

“He was told by the person who sold it to him it was de-commissioned. He was a bona fide, not secretive, collector and was immediately and absolutely co-operative.

“The gun was in the state in which he received it and, although that does not make it a non-prohibited weapon, there was no ammunition, no evidence of his seeking any or of intentional or actual use.”

Kent pleaded guilty to possessing the rifle. Pleading with Judge John Maxwell to spare him the minimum five-year jail term for this category of offence on the grounds of exceptional circumstances, Mr Bailey said: “Custody would be devastating. It would deeply affect his family and he would lose his accommodation.”

But Judge Maxwell said Parliamentary guidance meant strong sentences should be given for illegal firearms possession. “I feel bound to impose the minimum sentence of five years,” he added.

If you research his background, you will also find that along with being an extreme left winger, he is a commited zionist. His father emigrated to the US from Israel where he was a member of the Irgun. "Google" Irgun to see lists of murders carried out by this zionist terrorist group. Indiscriminate killings and bombings of Arab civilians as well as British army and police personnel. Rahm went to Israel during the first Gulf War to serve( NOT as a member of the U.S. forces btw)

TinMan, Rahm Emanuel is an excellent choice for Chief of Staff for any one in the white House Rep or Dem....

Emanuel is a more center of the road liberal than an extreme left winger...

He is a dedicated opportunist and knows how to play the Washington political scene, he knows Congress well...

He thinks and plans America first and Emanuel 2nd, usually in that order...

He is a dedicated Jewish/Israeli believer zealot...

He is hated by Arab/Islamics throughout the World because of his Israeli connections...

Obviously Israel is delighted to see him in such a prominent position in the WH...

He is a no BS, cut to the chase, Pragmatic, highly intelligent individual, he is essentially good for America...

You will see him down the road in National politics...

My 2c worth and I am a middle of the road Republican conservative....

    regards

    Dear Chuckles

I hope you are right about this fellow. If he is America first and the Rag Heads hate him, I like him!

I am am an old right winger, but the time has come for a third party. The Republican Party is leaving me. I have not left them.

I never knew the Democratic Party. Too unwilling to make hard decisions since Truman, does not want folks to stand on their own, and seems unable to stick to the High Road.

The Libertarian Party sounds better every day. Defend my shores, deliver my mail, and stay out of my private life.

Want a job in the Obama administration? #59 on the job application!

    (59) Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.

I would disagree with Chuckles on the statement Emmanuel places America first... he puts Israel first. Which is NOT always best for America.
    Remember the USS Liberty!

According to Dick Morris [Fox News analyst...ex-Clinton insider] knows him quite well and personal. He says that Rahm is for himself FIRST and FORMOST...period. If you don't want information to leak...don't tell Emanuel.

I agree, Rahm Emanual is a Master Opportunist and he has done well, he is a self made Alpha Type millionaire deeply involved in American politics as the ultimate challenge, I think he wants to be the first Jewish President of USA...

He has renounced his Israeli citizenship for his US one...

He is deeply religious and Pro Israeli but his accomplishments and Congressional dealings don't indicate he is Israel first...

From a National Security POV he is A#1 American...

He is a little too left but hey... who's perfect......

Obama could've gone with Rev Al or Jesse...but he didn't...

Who will be first to call Obama an Uncle Tom.....

    regards
