Just wondering. Who holds the records for the most 100 straights from the 16, caps, doubles? I saw once where Wayne Mayes had shot something like 1000 100 straights with a .410.
Where can I find the records?

    History of Long Run Holders

The ATA would have it, provided that they've compiled that data. If they haven't, it would be a good suggestion to give them. I would be interested in knowing that, too.

    Wouldn't that be Leo III?

He's been doing it for 40 plus years. Most years multiple times...

    Interesting question!

I would think that Leo has to have the most 100's and 200's in 16's. He was close to the record quite a number of years ago before he really turned_it_on.

Stafford would be a good canidate for 27yd ones. I believe he surpassed Bonillas a few years back. I believe PK is slightly behind Ray.

Doubles, the way some of the boys break them I would have no idea. Again Leo has his place but some of the marathon shooters have a definet edge in this category.

Trap and Field use to keep track of these records. Iam not sure if they have been as I don't recall seeing anything new for awhile.

I think Earl Scripture held it for many, many years (12 gauge).

The shootoff record is Foster Bartholow and Leo with 36 rounds, 900 straight.

Not the same thing. That doesn't tell us how many 100 straights that someone has shot in their ATA career. Albeit, how many straights does not tell you if a shooter is actually BETTER than other shooters, simply because of the fact that some people get to shoot a lot more targets than do others. Their average is the best indicator of skill.

Dave Schaeffer shot a record 2600 straight targets last year - so wouldn't the record be 26?

M R Ducks---Thats the most singles targets broken in a row. The question was who has the most 100 straights in the (3) events. Dave is good but not even close on the amount of 100 straights shot by the jolly fellow from Hannibal, MO. and i'm not talk'n about Mark Twain.----Matt
