WHO HAS THE LOWEST MODEL 12 SERIAL #?

    I seem to remember a couple of articles several years ago reporting on a search for the lowest serial no. M12 Winchester. I think they found SN 1! I'm sure some of the experts that post on this forum can substantiate this or report what was really found.

    It seems to me that Shotgun Sports ran a simular question some years back and they came up with pictures of # 2 in , if I remember correctly in 20 gauge. Not real sure about gauge, but I am sure about serial #. Ron Piro

    I have a 20 ga. with serial # 31475. Not real low but made in 1913.

    And I thought senior smoke was asking who on TS had the lowest serial numbered M12.

    Dave Riffle's book has pictures of two different guns with serial number '1'...a 20 ga and a prototype 16 ga.

    Ok the bareel on my Skunk Grade is from the 1920's but I have no ideal on what the serial number is I guess I need to write all that stuff down incase of a break in.

    ok you ever sen very many Skunk Grade model-12's

    Mine is 6 digits. 1927.. 30" full, Simmons rib Trap wood.I have a Winchester 94 six digits, close to 1 million...1927 32 spl src. Certainly not the lowest # guns but cherished anyway.
