I have an older Perazzi and had it blued at Giacomo's place approx 1 1/2 years ago - the bluing is starting to get real thin and in some places (forearm metal) the metal is exposed. Can anyone recommend a really good bluing specialist who can disassemble - blue - and reassemble my prized possession. Thanks

Shotslinger, I am sure there ar a lot out there. Give Al Jamison a call at Master Finishing. You will not be disappointed as he does quality work and is a great guy to do business with. He also refinished my stock as well as bluing.

I recommend Phil Filing with Glenrock Blue in Glenrock, Wy

Phil has done several guns for me. Phil does great work.

I believe you can get his web site at gunbluing.com

Best ever that I have seen comes from Mike's Gunsmithing, Artesia Blvd, Long Beach, Ca..... when he is finished, the letters and numbers are still crisp and the blue looks like it is at least 2 inches deep!

I was going to recommend Phil Filing at Glenrock Blue, and see that Bill H. above beat me to it.

Phil has done every one of my Perazzis, several rifles, and customer's guns in EXACTLY the finishes I've requested and one he suggested. His work has been absolutely flawless. I can never say enough good things about them, personally, and their work, professionally. His turn around time is fast as well.

It is cheaper too, if you disassemble the guns yourself and send the parts along. I use lots of small zip locks when doing this.

Giacomo in NY also does flawless work. I used Phil as I am in SD and he is in WY.
