I have a Beretta 682 receiver that was blued, currently is "duracoated" - I'd like to get it satin nickel plated - also, anyone know if anyone titanium nitride plates receivers (gold)? That could be interesting. Thanks!

Try Metalife (http://www.metalifeind.com/), their local gunsmith is Ron Mahovsky (http://www.mahovskysmetalife.com/)

This is good info, please keep it coming, I'm checking these out -
anyone have anything titanium nitride coated, and results? I know they use it on AR bolts and drill bits, so it should be up to the job of a shotgun receiver -

There only be one place where my guns go to get coated, Doug Braker. His work has been documented here too many times.

I am sure that everyone mentioned here is excellent. I have seen Ron Mahovsky's Metalife finish on a Ljutic and you could not tell it wasn't stainless by looking. Also it is extremely durable and is thin enough not to interfere with parts fitting.. But as I said, they are all very good. I think Mahovsky advertises aroung $85 to plate a receiver.
