The White House wants the public to forward "fishy" emails about healthcare reform (source Fox News & Sen. Cornlyn (Texas)). There's numerous questions I have on this potential destructive behavior as follows: (1) What will the White House do with these emails?; (2) Could these emails make you a candidate for an IRS audit, target by ACORN, harassment or be on somebody's watch list?; (3) Where is the ACLU on this issue?; (4) Would you have permitted the Bush Administration to get away with this? (5) Is this infringing on your 1st Amendment rights of free speech?; and, (6) What precedent do we set by permitting such an abuse of power and where this will eventually lead? I also wonder after writing my House Representative (who favors this HR 3200 Healthcare Reform bill) whether he'll forward my email to the White House. Maybe they got the term "fishy" from swimming upstream against the flow of crap opposing these Einteins. BT-100dc

I have reported this thread to flag@whitehouse.gov.

You're obviously a well-dressed, secretly funded, organized group out to discredit Our Savior. A throwback.

    Obey.

All the sane people in the country should bombard "flag@whitehouse.gov" with so many emails that it will shut them down. I'm going to email them and demand that I be put on their enemy list.

    WHITE HOUSE: WANTED

    Fellow Patriots,

As you all know, President Obama has asked the American people to rat on their friends and neighbors by sending anti-health care emails to a specific email address (flag@whitehouse.gov). I assume the word “flag” is not a reference to Old Glory. Anyway, I’ve taken inspiration from a FOX News contributor who said yesterday on Glenn Beck’s show that he was forwarding all emails he received from left wing supporters of this dangerous bill to this email address.

I received the email you find below from the DNC yesterday. Since it is full of misinformation and untruths (the very thing the White House is looking for) I decided to do my part and send it along to flag@whitehouse.gov. I opened a Hotmail account for just such purposes. Naturally I added my own thoughtful and respectful comments in defense of registered Democrats who voted for Obama who are part of those “mobs”.

I suggest you do the same. Every time you get something that misleads the reader regarding this socialist take over of 1/7th of our economy, funds abortion and advocates letting old people die because they have no more usefulness to society just send it to flag@whitehouse.gov with some respectful but informed comments.

Apparently, the White House thinks this is our public duty. I am more than happy to comply as a good American. I encourage you to encourage all your friends to do the same.

I remain an unashamed Christian, Patriot, NRA member, and charter member of the vast rightwing conspiracy.

You asked for emails that are spreading untruth and disinformation about the health care plan.

I received this ultra left wing propoganda in my junk mail box and thought you ought to be aware that this organization is saying things that simply aren't true about health care and the town meetings. I hope the President will publically stand up in defense of these average citizens attending these town meetings and excercising their free speech rights. Many of these outraged and vocal opponents of this health care plan are Democrats who voted for the President. The least he could do would be to stand up for them and their right to voice their opinions.

Subject: 5 facts about the anti-reform mobs

There's been a lot of media coverage about organized mobs intimidating lawmakers, disrupting town halls, and silencing real discussion about the need for real health insurance reform.

The truth is, it's a sham. These "grassroots protests" are being organized and largely paid for by Washington special interests and insurance companies who are desperate to block reform. They're trying to use lies and fear to break the President and his agenda for change.

Health insurance reform is about our lives, our jobs, and our families -- we can't let distortions and intimidation get in the way. We need to expose these outrageous tactics, and we're counting on you to help. Can you read these "5 facts about the anti-reform mobs," then pass them along to your friends and family?

5 facts about the anti-reform mobs

    1. These disruptions are being funded and organized by out-of-district special-interest groups and insurance companies who fear that health insurance reform could help Americans, but hurt their bottom line. A group run by the same folks who made the "Swiftboat" ads against John Kerry is compiling a list of congressional events in August to disrupt. An insurance company coalition has stationed employees in 30 states to track where local lawmakers hold town-hall meetings.

    2. People are scared because they are being fed frightening lies. These crowds are being riled up by anti-reform lies being spread by industry front groups that invent smears to tarnish the President's plan and scare voters. But as the President has repeatedly said, health insurance reform will create more health care choices for the American people, not reduce them. If you like your insurance or your doctor, you can keep them, and there is no "government takeover" in any part of any plan supported by the President or Congress.

    3. Their actions are getting more extreme. Texas protesters brought signs displaying a tombstone for Rep. Lloyd Doggett and using the "SS" symbol to compare President Obama's policies to Nazism. Maryland Rep. Frank Kratovil was hanged in effigy outside his district office. Rep. Tim Bishop of New York had to be escorted to his car by police after an angry few disrupted his town hall meeting -- and more examples like this come in every day. And they have gone beyond just trying to derail the President's health insurance reform plans, they are trying to "break" the President himself and ruin his Presidency.

    4. Their goal is to disrupt and shut down legitimate conversation. Protesters have routinely shouted down representatives trying to engage in constructive dialogue with voters, and done everything they can to intimidate and silence regular people who just want more information. One attack group has even published a manual instructing protesters to "stand up and shout" and try to "rattle" lawmakers to prevent them from talking peacefully with their constituents.

    5. Republican leadership is irresponsibly cheering on the thuggish crowds. Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner issued a statement applauding and promoting a video of the disruptions and looking forward to "a long, hot August for Democrats in Congress."

It's time to expose this charade, before it gets more dangerous. Please send these facts to everyone you know. You can also post them on your website, blog, or Facebook page.

Now, more than ever, we need to stand strong together and defend the truth.

    Thanks,

    Jen

I thought they would at least wait until December to start putting together their "cattle car" lists. Here's a pointer, try to get in the end of the car nearest the engine. Right Dashaub?

If you send anything to the White House website, the same "security restrictions" will apply that they have on the "cars.gov" website. Your computer becomes goverment property and any and all info in it can be scrutinized by Barry and the boys over a beer late at nite.

    Good luck.
