    White House talks don

(Reuters) - An effort led by Vice President Joe Biden to find ways to reduce gun violence after the Connecticut school massacre so far has not included talking to the National Rifle Association, the president of the gun rights group said on Friday.

NRA President David Keene said neither Biden nor his staff has contacted the organization since President Barack Obama unveiled the effort on December 19.

Keene said he was not surprised, given Biden's past support for new gun control laws. "He's not even a friendly antagonist," Keene told Reuters in an interview.

The lack of communication between the White House and the largest U.S. lobbying group for gun owners is a sign that the shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, has so far failed to change long-held stances on gun politics. In that tragedy, a young man shot his mother with her own gun before killing 20 children and six adults at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Biden and up to four Cabinet officers are holding a series of meetings with outside groups to discuss possible gun legislation. The first was with law enforcement officials, another with mayors.

The White House has said other meetings will take place with gun safety groups and gun owners, among others, but it has not said whether the NRA will be invited. The White House had no comment on Friday.

White House talks should include the "Cheshire Home Invasion" Connecticut tragedy as well. This on the heels of the justice system's early release program's release of 7500 former inmates into CT society.

Obamas idea of a "discussion" is sort'a like my ex-wifes, "I'll talk.....You listen". Why would the NRA want to participate?

In Obama's Amerika....we're all free to either AGREE with him, or shut the h*ll up and go away. Remember the FIRST Obama inauguration when asked about "working with" the opposition the response from Senior Democrat officials was: FU*K-em..WE WON.

In Washington once something goes into committee it's a dead issue. Never to be found again----"buried." Of course, the committee will still be meeting once a year 47 years from now, but that's another issue. Never worry about substantial results coming out of a committee, especially when we have the one person in Washington with nothing to do but wait, running the committee. Obammy washed his hands of gun control when he formed the committee with "Good Old Joe" running it. The committee is off to never never land, in a Galaxy far far away....The NRA should want nothing to do with it.

    The 'committee's' are for show.

The real talks are with Reid who may provide stubborn opposition, Schumer, Feinstein and Obama about specific legislation that might get Repub crossover with few Dem defections..

This is because the "solution" has already been determined, before the talks even begin.

All this talk of bi-partisan talks, let's get together, let's hold hands, our cards are on the table, let's go to lunch, let's have drinks, you hold my dick, I'll hold yours------ It is all BS. Most deals are done before they go to committee. It is just a formality, before they put the condoms on.

The NRA has what? 3 or 4 million members. Many of which are not extremist. Time to realize that many of you gun extremist are in the minute minority.

Now the real booby comes out. Another gun banner on TS.COM. Freak'n lovely. As for your sickos comment, if the laws already on the books were followed, no sickos would have access to any guns. Remember the CT shooter broke the law to get the guns and so did the recent NY shooter. It's plain and simple stupidity to blame the guns. The woman who bought the guns for the idiot who shot the firemen should be tried for murder. She knowingly bought guns for a convicted felon. The Theater shooter had a past of mental issues. He should have never been allowed to purchase guns. Once again, the laws on the books were not followed. This doesn't even take into account that in all three cases named above, the mentally ill were not taken serious. They ALL showed signs of deep mental issues and nothing was done. Sure idiots, lets blame the guns. The commercial
Airplanes are to blame for 9/11. The fork and spoon made Oprah fat.

Over 70 million legal gun owners did not kill anyone this year.

Bigbadbobby has been viewing this site for a long time. I am an ATA member and shoot Trap and Sprting Clays regularly. Just decided to create a sign on name because of your idiotic positions on responsible gun owner issues.

    Bigbooby,

Please don't pretend to represent gun owners. Go back to Fienstien's Knitting circle.

Unfortunately, booby does represent a lot of gun owners - those that think gun ownership is a previledge and that losing their firearms is an inconvenience. If booby is asked to turn in his firearms, he will, and take up another hobby.

    2nd Amendment - he doesn't get it.

IN the Political realm you NEVER invite someone to address a issue WHO has Common Sense!! It will violate your morals and values(don't have any to begin with) as a elected official!!
