"White House Finds a New Enemy"

"The uneasy relationship between the Obama White House and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has steadily eroded over the past several months, with the business group's opposition to health care and climate change legislation triggering an all-fronts backlash from the administration."

"But Chamber executives told Fox News that since word of open warfare with the White House began to surface, membership has spiked. They warned White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel not to imagine the Chamber will retreat from spending heavily in the mid-term election cycle."

"Let's not make any mistake. The United States Chamber of Commerce will be active, we will be visible and we will be very engaged in the 2010 elections. Rahm, I'm sure, well appreciates that," said R. Bruce Josten, executive vice president for the Chamber of Commerce."

"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is spending millions on an ad campaign to kill it," Obama said. "They're trying their hardest to weaken it. ... And they're very good at this, because that's how business has been done in Washington for a very long time. In fact, over the last 10 years, the Chamber of Commerce alone spent nearly half a billion dollars on lobbying -- half a billion dollars."

hussein,,,,,,,has NO CLUE,, as to the havoc he has wreaked by condemning THE VERY HEART AND SOLE of this country. I hope hussein pays dearly for this.

This is an interesting time to be an American. The demoncrats in congress want deperately to achieve their most radical, destructive agenda while they have the votes. I suspect they may "pass" the legislation they want passed whether they have the votes or not.

Industry, and the people who have good steady jobs in it, have always been the enemies of "Progress" as the liberals see it.

People who have good, steady jobs in industry tend to own nice houses, power them with electricity, drive nice big vehicles, own guns, eat meat, have big families, pillage the environment and generally vote republican. When a man feels he is in control of his destiny like this, the Democrats can't touch him. This idea of providing for himself and charting his own destiny provides a stubborn immunity to liberalism.

Having failed to achieve their liberal goals by persuading these people, the Democrats have now realized: hey, forget persuading them; let's just wait for economic trends to reduce their numbers! The migration of jobs out of the country is destroying the habitat that sustains them. Why wrestle the alligators - when you can simply drain their swamp? Sit and watch patiently as all those jobs go away...and let's just see what happens to that fella's stubborn self-reliance when he gets his pink slip.

When the jobs went away, the whole northern rusty rim of industrial states from Maine to Minnesota went "Blue." Chamber of Commerce, huh? Screw those guys. Welcome to the Chamber of Government.

They may get it passed, but it will not go into effect until 2013. Time enough to repeal the bill. 2010 election will be the most important election I will have seen in my lifetime. Wipe out Nancy and Harry and the rest of the aholes that want to ram this tax and spend crap down our throats.
