I us the HS 28ga wads. That makes it simple. Jeff

Claybuster 5040-28 HSA, a lower cost clone for the WW HS wad.

There are some interesting loads using the Ballistic Products wads.

One is the SG28-II Wad that give 7/8 oz loads at 1275 fps with 25.0 gr of Lil'Gun. It looks like a good pheasant load and I recently purchased components to put this together.

For 3/4 oz loads, I am using the Winchester wads. I don't shoot a lot of 26 ga so saving a few pennies is not important to me. If you can find a skeet forum they will have much more experience.

You can get powder migration problems if you use a fine grained powder and the original AA wads in the HS hulls. The Claybuster 28 HS is my first choice. Ron

I'm with Bob Knight and Ron on the claybusters. I normally load just AAHS hulls but also have some Rem hulls and use the old AA wads. Jackie B.

I used up a bunch of the old federal pushin cushion type wads as they filled the case pretty well. The HS wads are best as they are far bigger then any other regular wad. First time you put a MIC to one you will be shocked! They are HUGE. Jeff

CB HS 28s and AA HS 28 wads chrono identically and the CBs are cheaper. I use the older pink AA28s in original AA hulls and STS hulls.
